Next Run – T.B.C
Rhydd Run S.O.S (Scouts of Steel) is a obstacle run based at Rhydd Covert Scout Campsite in Kidderminster, West Midlands. The run is suitable for all sections in scouting.
Squirrels & Beavers will run a shorter 1km loop with age suitable obstacles
Cubs, Scouts & Explorers will run the full 2 lap (approx 5km) course
This is a fun race, open to all abilities, you go at the speed that suits you best. You are welcome to walk, jog or run the course.
What is a Obstacle Run?
Following a cross country style course you will encounter various obstacles along the way such as cargo nets, rope swings, rope bridges, tunnels and more.
Who can sign up?
The event is open to all youth sections in the scouting association. Squirrels & Beavers will need a parent to run with them (no charge for parents), Cubs may choose to run with a parent but this is not required.
How much does it cost?
£6 per Young Person (2022 Price – Price will be updated as required for next run)
What do I get for the entry fee?
All youth participants will recieve a race number to wear for the race, free digital copies of all race photos, a finishers medal and an offical course time

10.00am – Squirrel & Beaver Registration Opens
10.25am – Squirrel & Beaver Briefing
10.30am – Squirrel & Beaver race begins – Waves set off every 5 minutes following a warm up
10.30am – Cub, Scout & Explorer Registration Opens
10.55am – Cub, Scout & Explorer Briefing
11.00am – Cub Scout & Explorer race begins – Waves set off every 5 minutes grouped by age following a warm up
12.30pm – Estimated finish time of last runners
